Anti-plagiarism Policy
According to the Law of Ukraine "On Copyright and Related Rights", PLAGIARISM is the publication of a work or its part in an unchanged or modified form, including the publication of a translation of a foreign language work or its part, under the name of a person who is not the author of this work.
Plagiarism is one of the main principles of violations of academic integrity according to the Law of Ukraine "On Education". Paragraph 4 of Article 42 of the Law states:
Academic plagiarism - publication (partly or completely) of scientific (creative) results obtained by other persons as the results of own research (creativity) and/or reproduction of published texts (published artworks) of other authors without indicating authorship;
Self-plagiarism - publication (partially or completely) one's own previously published scientific results as new scientific results;
Fabrication - fabrication of data or facts used in the educational process or scientific research;
Falsification - a deliberate change or modification of already available data related to the educational process or scientific research;
Deception - provision of knowingly false information about one's own educational (scientific, creative) activity or organization of the educational process.
The editorial board of the journal "Demography and Social Economy" adhere to the policy of inadmissibility of presenting plagiarism as an original work and submission for publication of a previously published article. In cases where these facts are discovered, the authors of the provided materials bear responsibility.
All materials submitted for consideration and publication in the journal "Demography and Social Economy" are subject to plagiarism checking using online services, as well as expert evaluation.
In the event of plagiarism and the presence of all evidence, the editorial board reserves the right to contact the author's employer, the relevant Ministry of Education and/or other relevant body and report the case of plagiarism.
