ABOUT AN INTERRELATION OF THE DEMOGRAPHIC BEHAVIOR OF POPULATION AND RELIGIOUS AND MORAL PRESCRIPTIONS

Abstract: The article attempts to light the religious and moral issues directly affecting the demographic behavior of population. Thus, the author tries to identify the relationship between the elements of demographic behavior (in particular, family relations) and religious and moral attitudes in Buddhism, Christianity and Islam. Revealing the characteristics of religious prescriptions concerning the institution of marriage and family, the author concludes the «positive-regulatory» function of religion as a mechanism to stimulate the development of family relations.
