The potential for the infant mortality reduction in Ukraine

Abstract: The article highlights the dynamics of infant mortality in Ukraine and WHO European region A. The quality of data, causes of fetal death and neonatal mortality is considered. The authors emphasize the increasing number of premature birth and low-weight children both in Ukraine and Western countries. The high cost of the specialist neonatal care is pointed out. In this regard it is called attention to the necessity of prevention OF pregnant womens diseases and reproductive health improvement thoroughly.
