Professional self-determination and professional orientation of the youth: the present trends and problems

Abstract: This article analyzes the current problems of professional self-determination through the assessment of the current state of career guidance for young people in Donetsk region. The article describes the features of the system of vocational guidance in overcoming the consequences of a systemic financial crisis. Based on the analysis proposed measures to improve the career-oriented activity centers of employment and educational institutions, to create an effective relationship between the labour market and the market of educational services, which will reduce the imbalance in the labor market. To prepare youth for professional self-determination, it is necessary to acquaint her with the world of occupations, labor market, the rules of the profession, the ability to generate the analysis of various types of professional activity, to ensure the development of professionally important qualities of the individual.
