Abstract: In this article, there has been made a research on the modern migration policy of the Republic of Moldova. In 2006, began the institutional reform on the matter of regulating the migration process in the Republic of Moldova, which was provoked by: the collaboration with the European Union, changes made by the Moldavian authorities, looking at the migration policy as a part of the social policy, by modifying and hardening legislation, in particular in the area of illegal migration and trafficking of human beings. The article presents the recommendations and conclusions on the matter.
